The Pavilion

The Campus Activities Team is proud to present
an exciting program just in time for the Election of 2004.
Former Secretary of Education William Bennett and
former Democratic nominee hopeful Howard Dean
will square off on Saturday evening in the Pavilion,
analyzing the candidates
and issues that will matter most in the upcoming election.

Dr. William Bennett served as President Reagan's chairman of the National Endowment for the Humanities and Secretary of Education, and President George H. W. Bush's "drug czar". Bennett has also written and edited 16 books, two of which — The Book of Virtues and The Children's Book of Virtues — rank among the most successful of the past decade. Dr. Bennett's most recent book is Why We Fight: Moral Clarity and the War on Terrorism.

Governor Howard Dean mounted an influential campaign for the Democratic nomination for President. Dean’s campaign helped focus the Democratic debate on important issues such as health care and the economy. Dean was successful in mobilizing voters historically apathetic toward the political process with his unprecedented use of the Internet. Governor Dean’s new book entitled You Have the Power: How to Take Our Country Back and Restore Democracy in America will be released in September 2004.
